“When she woke up she was raped”: Mother tells of her 17-year-old daughter's horror in Seville
The attackers have already been produced in court and remanded in custody.
Three Colombians were arrested Seville, In Spain, a 17-year-old girl was accused of raping her. On Thursday, the girl's mother reported that “she fell asleep and when she woke up she was raped.” The woman said her daughter was assaulted by the suspects who offered to give her a ride home. The incident took place after the nightclub was closed in the early hours of last Sunday.
Speaking to Canal Sur TV, the woman said her daughter and a friend got into a two-seater car after leaving a nightclub in La Carlota, near Córdoba, because of the rain. The crime took place after leaving their friend.
On the way, the minor fell asleep, and when she woke up, she was already raped inside the car, in what looked like an “open field”. Although there is no evidence yet, the family suspects that the young woman was drugged.
The perpetrators were arrested after the victim reported the attacks to Spanish authorities.
All three had already appeared in court for the first hearing and the mandatory measure of remand was applied to them.
The victim and his family are receiving psychological support.
