It is already known that cats like to hide in closed, dark and warm places. So it’s no surprise that Rose, a four-year-old cat who ran away from home, survived an eight-kilometre journey and was found under the hood of a car in England.
The story could have had a sad ending, but Ross walked away unscathed and one life short.
David King, the owner of the car and a neighbor of Rose’s owners, discovered it after dropping his grandson off at school. On returning home, he decided to check the car’s oil level and when he opened the hood, he was in for a surprise.
A BBCDavid’s wife says:He came into the house shouting that I should go check the car. I didn’t expect to see two eyes and a furball. With a branch, I slowly tried to shift it to see if it was breathing and what I found was a terrified kitten.
Frightened, Rose tried to hide further inside the engine Arrest completed, leaving “with no way out.” The local vet advised David and the woman to contact an association that would come to Rose’s rescue.
“I was scared. A noisy trip to school would have scared her too much,” Kim Brasher of the British Association for Cats Protection told the BBC.
To expel the rose, Remove one of the front tires and lift the car.
“Rose runs around the house like nothing’s happening, but I’m sure she’s had one of her seven lives,” joked the owner.
“Hardcore explorer. Extreme communicator. Professional writer. General music practitioner. Prone to fits of apathy.”
