Three people died and two were seriously injured after a family dispute in the Lautlingen district in southwestern Germany’s Bade-Württemberg region, where a hundred emergency vehicles and two rescue helicopters are deployed.
Bild newspaper provides this information citing a spokesperson of the Ministry of Interior of the region.
Investigators believe it was a crime within a family.
Three people were killed in the attack, including the 63-year-old accused, who was found in the garden of the family home, state news channel SWR reported.
Several firearms are registered in the suspect’s name. Officials said the two women were seriously injured and hospitalized.
Emergency services were called to the scene at 12:30 p.m. (11:30 a.m. in Lisbon) in Latlingen, a suburb of Albstadt with a population of 1,800.
According to eyewitnesses, police have cordoned off a large area and special forces have also been dispatched, but officials say there is no longer any danger to the public.
According to information from SWR, several firearms are registered in the name of the alleged perpetrator.
