Three children die after falling into a frozen lake in Britain

Three children aged eight, 10 and 11 have died after falling into a frozen lake in Solihull, UK. Officials have confirmed this information Sky News🇧🇷

All four rescued children were in cardiac arrest. All of them were rushed to hospital but three of the victims could not be revived, police revealed in an update. All the minors were in critical condition when they entered the hospital units Sky News🇧🇷

Reports suggest that the children were playing on the ice when they fell. One of the police officers involved in the initial search suffered hypothermia and was taken to hospital.

The search continued after six children fell into the lake on Sunday night. However, police cautioned that “this is no longer a search and rescue operation,” according to the release Sky News🇧🇷

When West Midlands firefighters arrived at the scene, several police and members of the public were found submerged in the water trying to rescue the minors. Witnesses said they saw firefighters shoveling ice on the lake and later, three people receiving medical attention.

Two of the six children were taken to Birmingham Children’s Hospital, while the rest were taken to Heartland Hospital in Birmingham, according to the report. Sky News🇧🇷
