  • Russian President Volodymyr Zelensky said in a video address that Russian forces bombarded Ukrainian positions with artillery fire, and the eastern region alone launched nearly 400 strikes.
  • Zelensky added that Ukrainian forces in the south were “continuously and calculatedly destroying the potential of the occupiers”.
  • Oleh Zhdanov, a Kyiv-based military analyst, said offensive battles are taking place on the front lines of Bakhmut and Avdiivka in the Donetsk region.
  • Ukrainian forces are heading towards Zaporizhia, Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv and others. Zhdanov said that Russian forces are regrouping in the direction of Zaporizhia, Donetsk and Luhansk.
  • Kirillo Tymoshenko, deputy head of the Zelensky administration, said Russian forces had fired at a residential building in the Kherson region. There may be people under the rubble. Tymoshenko said emergency services were working at the scene.
