Vigo’s local police arrested a 45-year-old Portuguese citizen on Monday for charges of disobedience and resistance to authority.
According to police sources cited by Europa Press, the events took place on Monday at 12.45pm on Gran Vía, when a police patrol carrying out control and surveillance duties intercepted a man with a dog crossing the street. From the treadmill.
After being brought to the attention of the authorities, the man ignored the instructions he received and went to an establishment in the area. On his trail, however, agents will eventually follow up to identify and fine the man.
Once outside the premises, the police asked the Portuguese for his respective documents, but he refused to provide them. Trying to avoid detection, the man started running again outside the crosswalk, into the middle of traffic, causing some drivers to swerve.
After he was stopped, the suspect took off the wallet with the documents, threw it on the ground, crossed the road again between the vehicles and fled again. He would be arrested in the street along the Gran Via.
