uA self-proclaimed Supreme Court judge of the Donetsk People’s Republic was the target of an assassination attempt on Friday night. The information was provided by Denis Bushilin, the pro-Russian leader of the region, who blamed the Kyiv regime for the attack.
“The Ukrainian regime continues to display its worst terrorist methods”, started out as Pushilin on the Telegram platform. “Last night, November 4, in Uglegorsk, an attempt was made [de homicídio] The use of firearms against Aleksandr Anatolivych, judge of the Supreme Court of the Donetsk People’s Republic.
The pro-Russian politician insisted that “Alexander Anatolyevich punished Nazi war criminals.”
“Doctors are of the opinion that his condition is stable. I wish you a speedy recovery,” he added.
The judge in question was in charge of the trial of Britain’s Shawn Bennie and Aidan Aslin and Moroccan Brahim Sadoun, who were sentenced to death in July for “participating in the war as mercenaries” in Ukraine.
The two Britons were living in Ukraine when the war broke out and were detained in April by Russian forces while guarding Mariupol. Both have been living in Ukraine since 2018, with Azlin, 28, holding dual citizenship, while Lavina, 48, is married to a Ukrainian.
In September, they were released under a prisoner exchange deal between Ukraine and Russia and have since returned to the UK.
