Steam broke its simultaneous record with 30 million users online simultaneously over the weekend

Steam once again broke its concurrent record as this weekend saw over 30 million users online simultaneously.

as revealed SteamDB, 30,032,005 players were online on Sunday, October 23, and the top five games played consisted of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, Dota 2, Lost Ark, Apex Legends, and PUBG: Battlegrounds. Not all of the 30 million players were in a game, as many would have been browsing the store, chatting in communities, and more.

Counter-Strike was the away winner this weekend With a peak of about 1.05 million concurrent players. The Dota 2 peak was around 750,000, then there was a good drop where the highest PUBG peak was 442,148.

Since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, Steam has seen its concurrent user record broken time and time again. Over the Thanksgiving weekend of 2021, it peaked at 27.3 million and a few months later, it hit 28 million. He’s vacillated between those numbers, but this is the first time he’s crossed the 30 million mark.

With Steam Decks more readily available, and Cyberpunk 2077 getting some revival with over a million players jumping into Night City every day, Steam has hit some highs in the past few months.
