Russia on Monday warned against US nuclear weapons in Polish territory proposed by Polish Deputy Prime Minister Jaroslaw Kaczynski.

“The proposed measures will lead to further escalation of tensions on the ground,” Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told a news conference.

In an interview published in the Sunday edition of the German newspaper Die Welt, Kaczynski said that Poland was ready to acquire US nuclear weapons and was defending the strengthening of NATO troops in the eastern part of NATO to prevent a Russian attack. Invasion from Ukraine.

Jaroslaw Kaczynski proposed increasing the presence of US troops in Europe from 100,000 to 150,000 troops, half of which should be permanently stationed in Eastern European countries, on Russia’s borders.

“This will be a clear signal to Moscow that the NATO leadership will be in the east,” the Polish prime minister concluded in an interview.
