A A worker’s response to the owner of a venue that wanted to hire him in Spain has gone viral on the internet, garnering the support of many users who have called for continued condemnation of abusive practices in the workplace.
This conversation was shared by the well-known Twitter account of the author of the book ‘Soy Camarero’.
It all started when the boss explained to the man what the job was: “It’s Monday to Saturday from 07:30 to 16:30 and from 19:30 to closing, which is usually more or less 23:30,” he explained.
The offer is 950 euros per month plus an “extra” of about 10 euros per day to help with transport (boat), about 280 euros per month.
But not only. The boss wanted the contract to be 6 hours, and after a few months, if everything went “well”, it would change to 7 hours. Holidays are 30 days and paid 20 euros on holidays, but “it’s mandatory” to go to work.
The response from the person who received the proposal was clear and worthy of praise from users: “Okay. And the ‘dude’ who inspired you, where do you keep him? Explorer”.
“This is what happens and can happen in many cases in Spain who want to justify tips as part of the salary, not to mention the rest”, wrote ‘Soya Camarero’ in the title of the publication, which accumulates almost 900 thousand views.

“I mean, you work 78 hours a week (I believe) and you get paid and quoted as if you worked 36, is that it?”, one user wrote. “I have over 6 years of experience and yes, these are conditions 99% have encountered before, sometimes they can be worse,” wrote another.
