Real Madrid beat Juventus in front of 93,702 fans at the Rose Bowl

Pasadena, California – Karim Benzema scored his second pre-season goal as Real Madrid beat Juventus 2-0 in front of a crowd of 93702 at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena in the last game of his tour of the United States.

Benzema put Real Madrid ahead with a penalty kick in the 19th minute after Vinicius Junior fell at the hands of Danilo to hit the bottom corner past goalkeeper Mattia Perin.

Substitute Marco Asensio made it 2-0 from Jesus Vallejo’s cross with 69 minutes to make it a win, a draw and a loss for Real Madrid in the United States this month.

Coach Carlo Ancelotti has chosen the starting lineup that is expected to play the European Super Cup against Eintracht Frankfurt, with five changes to the team that drew 2-2 with Club America on Wednesday.

Benzema put the ball into the net within just 10 seconds of the clock following a clever routine straight from kick-off, but the goal was ruled out for offside.

Leonardo Bonucci hit the crossbar with a free kick before Real Madrid took the lead midway through the first half.

Danilo admitted possession and when Vinicius led the Juventus defence, he was hit with a clumsy challenge as the defender tried to recover.

Benzema converted the penalty kick to score his second goal in the same number of matches, after he missed Real Madrid in the opening round of defeat against Barcelona.

The Italian giants slipped from the penalty spot when Eder Militao had to jump on Angel Di Maria to save Ferland Mendy’s pass, while Vinicius hit the side net and threatened Juventus defender Bremer with a header just before halftime. .

Ancelotti made only one change at the break, Antonio Rudiger to replace Militao.

David Alaba saved Mendy’s shot, Perrin hit Mendy’s cross, and Dani Carvajal saw an attempt to save it while Real Madrid dominated early in the second half.

Benzema’s left-footed ball was flipped around the post by Perin before Madrid made another nine changes with just over an hour of play.

One of them, Asensio, made it 2-0, sweeping Vallejo from the edge of the six-yard area after some smart moves from another substitute, Eden Hazard, to make sure of the win.
