zicoxaw Reports suggest that PS5 consoles can access additional debugging options with the press of a button. Your PS5 must be hacked (and debug settings enabled) to run this trick. This additional menu can contain options that would normally be found on TestKit consoles, but it looks very empty on retail consoles.
What is the hidden menu for PS5 Debug Settings?
Pressing Start + L3 on the PS5 (anywhere) while debug settings are enabled will bring up that hidden menu, which is unfortunately very empty at the moment.
It seems that people who have tested it report that it does nothing very often. Specifically, pressing the combo button will open a file Patch List: Cex Same menu with “Playback Settings” option. Clicking on this option just seems to take you to the normal settings menu, as shown in the video below by @Ifaicompa.
It can be opened in any interface pic.twitter.com/ztYHej40Db

(By the way L3 means to tap the analog stick, if you didn’t know)
TestKit Options on Retail PS5 – Current Status and Limitations
It should be noted that most of the debug settings options are disabled on retail consoles. Just because we have the ability to show the GUI (in this case, the menu) for a particular TestKit option, doesn’t mean that the option will work (or that the underlying app is there) in the retail module.
Zecoxao believes that this option could unlock additional functionality (such as UART registers) if the PS5 is hacked further, for example if a hypervisor hack can be developed.
How to access the hidden patch menu on your PS5
you will need PS5 hackable to run this.
- Run the PS5 Kernel Exploit With debug settings enabled (enabled by default on all AFAIK exploits)
- Anywhere in the PS5 interface, pressing START + L3 will bring up the menu.
Contains PS5 Dev . Wiki Additional button combinations to try if you want. (But don’t. Enter. IDU mode.!!!)
