“Lady Marmalade” was one of the hottest songs of the early 2000s, but Pink says the music video wasn’t a blast from the movie.
The famous singer collaborated with Christina Aguilera, Mia, and Lil’ Kim for the song, which was featured on the soundtrack to Baz Luhrmann’s movie “Moulin Rouge!”
The theatrical music video still holds a special place in the hearts of many of her fans, but Pink just revealed that it was one of her least favorite music videos to shoot.
“It wasn’t very fun making it,” she said during an interview with Buzzfeed UK. “I’m all about fun and it was, like, a lot of fanfare. There were some personalities.”
in TikTok video is going viral right now From the interview, the 43-year-old went on to mention two of her co-stars, but said nothing about the third (Aguilera). “Kim and Mia were so cute!” She said.
Many TikTokers couldn’t get enough of Pink’s sincerity and took to the comments section to share their reactions.
“My shadow. I need to know more,” wrote one. Another commented, “Oh my God I love it!”
However, some have suggested that it is twenty years too late to bring up any old drama.
“Pink you need to let this go baby!” suggested one.
Pink must have caught the attention of the online chatter, because she then took to Twitter to share a few more thoughts.
She wrote: “You are crazy.” “Xtina had something to do with who was in that song. If you don’t know by now — I’m not shaming someone by telling them over and over what really happened. I’m zero percent interested in your drama.”
The singer posted several other tweets about the matter.
“If you haven’t noticed – I’m a little busy selling,” she wrote. “And by sale—I mean tickets, albums, bake sales, and sh–.”
Pink ended her thread with the following message: “Also – I kissed Extinas mouth. You don’t need to kiss her ass.”
in 2021, the singer told Variety which she and Aguilera kissed at one of her birthday parties.
No matter what potential drama Pink and Aguilera may have had in the past, both singers seem to be doing just fine these days.
Pink recently released her latest album, “Trustfall,” and she told USA Today that the death of her father, Jim Moore, inspired some of the music, especially one song.
“I lost my father (in August 2021) and after eight months I lost someone very, very, very close to me,” she said. “So in the course of a year, I lost two of my favorite people.” When I get there “it’s nice because it’s simple. It’s kind of a drip (think of me), I wonder where you are and if everything’s alright.”
