We’re not entirely sure if this should have been announced, but it was…and it’s confirmation on Nintendo’s end that the pink puff celebrations are now in. officially more!
Yeah, don’t even try to celebrate his 30th birthday after that date, because according to a message on social media, Nintendo is moving on — just as it did with “The Year of Luigi” and Mario’s 35th anniversary celebrations. At least with this feat of three decades.

Over the past year, Nintendo has released new and old Kirby games like Kirby and the Forgotten Land, Kirby’s Dream Buffet, and retro Kirby games via its Switch Online service, and most recently revived a Wii title, Kirby’s Return to Dream Land. Last week, it also won a BAFTA, taking home the award for Best Family Game.
Nintendo has probably had enough of it already with the Mario movie. Later this month also marks the arrival of the long-awaited Advance Wars 1 + 2 Re-Boot Camp, and next month’s even bigger one, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
