Jaguar’s decision to take first place is getting more complicated
NC State’s offensive tackle Ikem Ekwonu dominated athletic testing and field training in Indianapolis. He ran 4.93-seconds 40 yards and showed fast feet in the drills. Addressing the Mississippi State attack, Charles Cross ran 4.95 seconds from 40 yards as well. With Alabama’s Evan Neal opting not to perform, Ekwonu and Cross may have closed the gap in terms of the preferred player to be held overall by the Jaguars. Of course, Michigan edge rusher Aidan Hutchinson and Oregon edge rusher Kayvon Thibodeaux might have something to say about Saturday.
In general, the men of the attack airlines were tested very well. According to the NFL12 ran a 40-yard dash in under 5.00 seconds, which is double the previous high in 2013 and more than the last 3 sets combined (11).
The race to be the first back run to be tightened
Michigan State Pulled Back Kenneth Walker III was my best comeback in the rally. He did nothing to harm his stock. However, Breece Hall in Iowa tested very well for a prospect standing at 5-foot-11, 217-pound. In addition to a dash of 4.39 seconds = 40 yards—which I didn’t expect—it posted a 40-inch vertical jump and a 10-6 inch wide jump. The combination of size and athletic performance should be mystifying the teams. It’s doubtful if one will be taken in the first round, but all bets are off once day two begins.
