More secret documents found in US President’s home

Official sources confirmed on Saturday that the White House legal office has discovered more classified documents at the US president’s home in Wilmington, Delaware.

A search of President Joe Biden’s private library uncovered six pages of classified documents from Barack Obama’s time as vice president (2009-2017), White House legal counsel Richard Saber said in a statement.

Previously, the White House dealt with only one side of the situation. “The judicial officers who accompanied me immediately had the documents,” the aide said.

After stepping down as vice president in 2017, Biden maintained a private office at the Washington-based facility until shortly before launching his presidential campaign in 2019.

Documents were also found in a shop.

The House Judiciary Committee, now controlled by Republicans, has opened an investigation into the matter.

The commission’s chairmen, Republicans Jim Jordan and Mike Johnson, wrote to U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland announcing the start of the investigation and asking the Justice Department, the F.B.I. Along with the appointment of the White House and Attorney General, former US Attorney Robert Hurr, appointed by former President Donald Trump, was appointed as special counsel to investigate the case.

“We look forward to your full cooperation,” the Congress appealed, asking them to send the supplies by January 27.
