There is only one day left until the 2022 Major League Baseball season. Opening day comes a week later than originally scheduled, but fortunately for baseball games we still have a full season of 162 games in 2022. Opening day on the horizon means one thing: It’s time for predictions.
Our Eye on Baseball team will put our predictions for the final ranking by division here along with our supplement picks, and of course the World Championship.
We’ll find plenty of employee-level agreement on non-competitors (sorry, Orioles and A fans) and contenders (hello, Dodgers and Astros) alike. We seem to like AL East (non-Orioles types) and AL Central being so competitive. A good development this season is the bonus card team for each league, allowing some divisions to place three or even four! – Teams in postseason.

So we’re at the top of the Dodgers and the Blue Jays, and there’s no love for defending champion Braves to repeat. MLB hasn’t had a repeat champion since the 1998-2000 Yankees, remember.
