Update [Fri 6th Jan, 2023 10:30 GMT]: After teasing us with one screenshot of the Wii’s unmistakable Rainbow Road course, Mario Kart Tour Twitter today made it official that the next tour will be out of this world.
The space tour will begin January 11th at 6am BST / 7am CETwhere you will navigate the challenging turns of the galactic classic Wii game.
As always, the @tweet Twitter also shared which Mii Racing Suit will debut alongside the new round, with a purple version the highlight this time around. As for the next suit’s teased silhouette, your guess is as good as ours! Could it be some kind of lion?
The original article [Thu 5th Jan, 2023 13:30 GMT]: We have to pay tribute Mario Kart Tour for its consistent updates and new content over the years; It’s really impressive, regardless of your thoughts on the game as a whole. The game is currently in the middle of a “new year round” to deliver 2023 in style, but it doesn’t stop there.
As for its next big update, a tweak has been posted on Twitter apparently confirming the addition of Rainbow Road Mario Kart Wii – a fan favorite of many, for sure. It’s not clear at this point exactly when the next round will start, but it will likely be within the next week or so.

Of course, the inclusion of the Wii version of Rainbow Road in Mario Kart Tour has some people speculating that it might end up being him too. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe as one of the upcoming DLC tracks. Although it’s certainly reasonable, we just got a 3DS version of Rainbow Road Wave 3 of the enhanced tournament card, so we think Nintendo will likely focus on other paths for Wave 4. Hey, maybe Wave 5 or 6, right? everything is possible!
