Thousands of Instagram accounts were suspended at once this Monday. There is still no explanation for what happened.
Thousands of people around the world have received notification that their Instagram account has been suspended.
“We have suspended your account on October 31, 2022,” reads a message beginning this Monday around 1 p.m.
On Twitter, dozens of people have complained about account suspension. Several theories as to why. It’s on this platform that Instagram has admitted to having a problem.
“We are aware that some people are having trouble accessing their Instagram account. We are investigating the issue and apologize for the inconvenience,” the official Instagram account said on Twitter.

Although the cause of the problem has not been determined, taking into account the scams and “hacks” that have affected other social networks, it is obviously better not to follow a link that disagrees with the decision. The official information comes from Mark Zuckerberg’s company, Meta.
British users reported problems before the suspension, as cited by “The Sun” magazine. “It was crashing every 10 or 20 seconds and now my account is suspended,” says the unnamed user. There are similar reports in Portugal, with many complaining that they don’t have access to Instagram.
The problem does not affect all users. Many continue to publish access to the account, but sometimes they complain of losing hundreds of followers.
Users trying to recover their account are complaining that they are unable to do so as they have not received a verification code.
