What is the difference between a solar eclipse and a partial eclipse?
According to the NASA website, “A solar eclipse occurs when moon It moves between the sun and the earth, casting a shadow on the earth, and completely or partially blocking sunlight in some areas. During a partial eclipse, the Moon and the Sun are not perfectly aligned, so the Moon does not completely cover the Sun. This gives the sun a crescent shape, or makes it look as if the “bite” has been removed from the sun, depending on how much of the sun the moon covers.
