“Homeless and penniless”. Mother and daughter defrauded almost 200 thousand euros

MA mother and daughter from Lakewood, Colorado, USA, were defrauded out of nearly $200,000 (about €187,000) while buying a home. The 69-year-old retired teacher and her daughter were left with no savings, fearing homelessness.

The woman told Fox 31 that the emails of Vicki Ragel and her daughter Sara were intercepted and hacked with a real estate agent.

“I started getting scam emails and I didn’t realize they were a scam,” he admitted, because everything was “the same.”
