Spanish police arrested four people, two men and two women, in Seville
The Spanish National Police arrested four people, two Romanian men and two women, for trying to sell a baby born at a hospital in Seville. The group has been accused of human trafficking, illegal sale of children and forging documents.

After the mother’s admission, the doctors found some discrepancies in the medical records. This is because there were no medical consultations or tests recorded during pregnancy, but there was a record for IVF, in vitro fertilization. The discovery was later shared with the authorities and it was confirmed that it was a surrogacy, which is illegal in Spain.
If the plan goes as expected, after leaving the hospital, Minor will be given to another couple for an undisclosed sum and will then be registered as the buyer’s daughter. The four arrested are two couples involved in the case.
The newborn was handed over to the authorities and is in the care of child protection services in the Andalusia region.
