The NYPD told TMZ… Police Monday morning responded to a 911 call about an unconscious man in the Bronx, and when they got there they found a body on the street, which was later identified as Frank.
Cops say the medical examiner will determine the official cause of death. Meanwhile, the police tell us that the suspect is criminally charged with dumping Frank’s body. The cops also say that the suspect reported an overdose to the police, Frank.
Frank’s late father is a “Sopranos” star Tony Liebwho played New York mob boss Carmine Luperzzi on the HBO series … and his brother, Nick VallelongaHe is the co-writer and producer of “Green Book,” which won two Academy Awards for Best Original Screenplay and Best Picture.
Actually, “Green Book” is about Frank’s father… Tony worked as a watchman and was hired to drive and protect the pianist Don Shirley During a tour in the early 1960s through the Jim Crow South. in the movie Viggo Mortensen depicts Tony and Frank playing his other brother, Rudy Vallelonga.
Cops say the suspect threw Frank’s body out of a car owned by Nick – but Nick tells the police the suspect does not have permission or authority to drive.
Frank was 60 years old.
