Daniel Os suffers a broken neck at the Tour de France in a crash video

Italian cyclist Daniel Os has been forced to withdraw from the Tour de France after he fractured his neck bone in a speedy collision with a fan this week.

Oss, 35, hit a fan on stage five of the race, who appeared to be leaning on the cobbled track while filming the cyclists on their phones.

The crash footage on Twitter shows Auss hitting the spectator’s line next to the race track and flying off his bike. A number of fans seem to be flying to the ground in the third of 11 cobbled sections on the road from Lille to Arenberg.
