Activision Blizzard appears to be measuring players’ interest in cryptocurrency and NFT products.
In a YouGov poll released to players over the weekend, Activision Blizzard – It is in the process of being acquired by Microsoft – He asked players how much they “interested” in a set of “emerging/future trends in gaming”.
Among the standard innovations in the gaming industry, such as virtual reality, augmented reality, artificial intelligence, cross-play and game subscription services, the company has also sought gamers’ opinions on more controversial topics such as “metaverse gaming experiences,” playing for profit (earning cryptocurrency or NFT or real currency) [and] NFTS (Non-Exchangeable Tokens)” (Thanks, GameRant).
So it looks like Blizzard/Activision is trying to figure out if players are interested in coding and nf*t in games. I received a survey from them and it is in the survey. I said not very interested in them. pic.twitter.com/dIT4bVokDK

Activision isn’t the only company to indulge in NFTs, of course. Just last week, Sega producer Masayoshi Kikuchi said: “It’s a natural extension of the future of gaming They will expand into new areas such as cloud gaming and NFT.” Other companies interested in NFTs include Square Enix, Konami and Ubisoft.
However, not all companies share the same opinion. Platinum Games – the studio behind the likes of Bayonetta, Nier: Automata and Babylon’s Fall – has shared its own view on the issue, calling for the spread of Controversial “frustrating” technology.Because it does not provide “any positive impact on the creators or users in any way”.
