Accusers of video game writer Chris Avellone release public statement withdrawing sexual assault accusations

In June of 2021, I reported on the defamation lawsuit that video game writer Chris Avellone brought against two women who accused Avellone of sexual assault on Twitter. Avellone publicly denied the accusations and announced that he would prosecute the two women for their statements.

Now, nearly two years later, the case is settled. The seven-figure payment to Avellone is part of a confidential settlement between the parties.
