uA Russian man discovered his best friend was sexually abusing his six-year-old daughter.
Vyacheslav Matrosov (pictured right) was sentenced in April this year to 18 months in prison for encouraging his daughter’s attacker, Oleg Sviridov, to commit suicide.
The case shocked Russia and led to strong support for the victim’s father, who demanded his release. A petition signed by thousands of people demanded the man’s full release and money to pay defense lawyers.
The man served only six months of his sentence.
According to the Daily Star, the girl’s father found a video on his friend’s cell phone in which he forced the six-year-old into sexual acts.
In the video, the child can be heard telling the aggressor, “That’s enough” and “I want to go home,” according to the newspaper.
Vyacheslav Medrosov was upset and the two quarreled. The victim’s father, now nine, drove the abuser to suicide, not before digging his own grave in a forest.
Vyacheslav Matrosov has already returned home to his family, his wife and two daughters.
