Guterres ‘persona non grata’? “All Leaders Must Be Unlikable”

The Former Russian President and current Deputy Chairman of the country’s Security Council, Dmitry Medvedev, commented this Sunday on Israel’s decision at the United Nations (UN) to declare Portuguese Antonio Guterres ‘persona non grata’.

In a post on the Telegram platform, the Russian argued that “all heads of hostile countries and international organizations should be declared ‘persona non grata’.”

“Israel decided to declare the UN Secretary-General ‘persona non grata’. What an idea! All the heads of hostile countries and international organizations should be declared undesirable. Then we would not have to meet. And the problems would disappear. Themselves.”Shoot. ‘Persona non grata’ comes from Latin and means ‘unwelcome person’ or ‘unwelcome’.

Last week, Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz announced that the country had declared the UN Secretary-General “incompetent” for not condemning Iran’s massive attack on Israel on Tuesday night.

“Anyone who cannot unequivocally condemn Iran’s heinous attack on Israel does not deserve to set foot on Israeli soil. We are dealing with an anti-Israel Secretary General who supports terrorists, rapists and murderers,” Katz said in a statement.
