“The list of demands includes the detention of the head of the SBU, Vassily Maliuk, who cynically admitted Ukraine's involvement in the Crimean bridge bombing in October 2022 and revealed details of preparations for other terrorist attacks in Russia,” Russian diplomacy pointed out. .
The same briefing said the March 22 attack at the Crocus City Hall concert venue on the outskirts of the Russian capital, which left 144 dead, was “not the first terrorist attack” against the Russian Federation. ” , and pointed out that investigations point to Ukrainian involvement.
The ministry headed by Sergei Lavrov recalled other bomb attacks on Russian territory, such as those that seriously wounded journalist Daria Dukina and blogger Vladan Tatarsky, and writer Yevgeny Prilepin and his driver.
Moscow also remembered five people killed in a Crimean bridge explosion, 42 injured in an explosion in St. Petersburg that killed blogger Tatarsky and victims of border incursions by the Russian Volunteer Force, an organization fighting on the Ukrainian side.
“The fight against international terrorism is the responsibility of all states. The Kiev regime must immediately stop any support for terrorist activities, hand over those responsible and compensate victims for damages,” the ministry added.
According to Russian diplomacy, “Ukraine's failure to comply with its obligations in relation to anti-terrorist agreements could lead to international criminal responsibility.”
According to the latest official data, the attack at the Crocus City Hall concert hall, 20 kilometers from the center of Moscow, left more than 150 people hospitalized.
The Russian Federal Security Service (FSB, successor to the Soviet KGB) arrested 11 people believed to be involved in the attack, including four terrorists who directly participated in the attack.
Suspects in the protest-led attack were detained on a road in the Bryansk region along the border with Ukraine, where they may have intended to escape.
Russia has admitted that the attack in the suburbs of Moscow was carried out by Islamists, but insists on a “Ukrainian path” and says it has proof that Kiev funded the terrorists.
The Islamic State has claimed responsibility for the attack.
