KAidelyn Booth was preparing for her sister’s wedding when she received a phone call that would change her life.
The 22-year-old couldn’t believe it when they called to tell her her boyfriend had been brutally assaulted and was on a ventilator in hospital.
Jack was attacked and taken to hospital in Preston, England on August 12 last year. The man suffered irreversible brain damage and died two days later.
Caitlin is sharing the story now, in an attempt to demonstrate how a simple punch can go indescribably bad.
“My goal is to raise money for the ‘One Punch’ (One Punch) charity but, more importantly, I want to raise awareness of the seriousness that a punch can cause,” he says, as quoted by The Mirror.
Two persons aged 18 and 21 have been arrested following the incident.
