A The World Health Organization (WHO) is closely monitoring the risk of Arcturus, a subtype of SARS-CoV-2 designated XBB.1.16, which may spread rapidly in many countries and become more infectious. It has already been identified in at least 22 countries and could become the “next omicron,” says the WHO.
So far, not much is known about the symptoms of this strain, although experts believe that symptoms are similar to those of the omicron variant.

However, there are some warning signs to look out for. According to data from the Joe Covid study, a smartphone app launched by Joe Ltd and King’s College London, symptoms include:
1- Runny nose;
two- headache;
3- Fatigue (moderate and severe);
4- sneezing;
5- throat pain.

What to do if you have symptoms of Covid-19:
Stay calm and avoid going to hospitals. Stay home and call SNS 24 (808 24 24 24). If it is a medical emergency choose option 1 (for other symptoms you should choose option 2) or 112. Follow all the guidelines given, keep a distance of at least two meters and avoid being close to people.
