UA rare shark had washed ashore on Lebb’s coast in the south of England, but only when scientists arrived on the scene The animal came whole with its head severed, without tail or fins.
The discovery was made by local people who shared pictures of the animals on social networks, which piqued the interest of scientists who visited the beach.
There, however, they encountered a scene of desolation, begging the decapitators to return the animal’s severed limbs.
“We went to save the animal for science last night, but it was too late. Please, if the head is there, get in touch. The scientists would like to see it and then they can keep it.”Dan Snow, the historian responsible for the discovery, said on Twitter.
According to the British television channel BBC, the researchers want to examine the teeth and head of the shark, which is two meters long. The animal is believed to be a small-toothed tiger shark, usually found in warm waters.
Snow told British newspaper The Guardian that he had put the part of the shark in a local farmer’s fridge, where it would be stored until someone from the Zoological Society of London arrived on Tuesday to collect it.

Biological friends prefer @Ben_garrod He asked me to recognize him as a very rare visitor to this beach and protect it. I lost. The head, tail and fin were seized before a team large enough to tow it from the beach to the nearest road was assembled. pic.twitter.com/XinSiwrusU— Dan Snow (@thehistoryguy) March 19, 2023
