“The pressure of the Nord Stream 1 and Nord Stream 2 pipelines is stable and ready to deliver, but Europe does not allow it,” the Russian president recalled.

Putin said Russia was ready to resume energy supplies “once the EU lifts the sanctions”, blaming the EU for the energy crisis.

“European countries are primarily responsible for the rise in gas prices, and European citizens are the ones who suffer,” he said, adding that the crisis has spread to other parts of the world.

“With their arrogant decisions, some Western politicians are destroying the global market economy and actually threatening people’s well-being.”

An oil price ceiling discussed by European leaders threatens the well-being of millions of people, Russian President Vladimir Putin said, adding that Russia would not sell to countries that would enforce such a cap.

Speaking from Moscow, during the “Russian Energy Week”, a forum dedicated to energy with many global partners, Vladimir Putin also said that the European Union threatens a country like Russia, which is heavily involved in the production and export of gas and oil.

Russia has been the target of many acts of sabotage, “the West wants to insinuate it’s us, but make no mistake,” he warns, adding that the incidents at the Nord Stream gas pipeline between Russia and Europe are “the result of international terrorism.” “It will benefit the United States, Poland and Ukraine.

“The geopolitical importance of gas systems is increasing Passing through these countries. Of course, they can now provide energy resources at higher prices,” Putin said in his speech.
