Milhaze says of Putin’s decision: “One night, Gerson and Zaporizhia will be free”

President Vladimir Putin signed a decree recognizing the independence of the Ukrainian regions of Kherson and Zaporizhia under Russian rule. The decision comes the day before the celebration of the unification of Russian territory. Jose Milhaze, SIC commentator, explains why.

“Why is this being done today? [quinta-feira] In the evening? Because tomorrow [sexta-feira] These republics will ask Russia to integrate into the territory of the Russian Federation. That is, one night, Kherson and Zaporizhia will be free. “They are no longer part of Ukraine, as Donetsk and Lugansk already did,” the commentator says.

The independence of Ukraine will last only for one night, because, this Friday, the merger of the four regions is already planned. Moscow is preparing a celebration to welcome these regions to Russia

“We are going to have a bacchanal of patriotism in Russia. Putin will emphasize the technique of patriotism, he will make a solemn speech in the Kremlin, and both houses of parliament will immediately support the president. He will speak very patriotically about Russia being attacked by the West and NATO,” he says, adding that Putin “is an unacceptable precedent for Ukraine.” He will present a known peace plan,” he says.
