AEW All Out results: Punk beats Moxley to get MJF next

The crowd at Now Arena in Hoffman Estates, Illinois was up and down all night on Sunday, September 4 for Everyone is outside. But they were in the main event, as CM Punk of Chicago was trying to reclaim the AEW World title from Jon Moxley.

Mox made a short of Punk In the unification match day dynamite Two weeks ago, it looked like Punk might return the favor on PPV. After nailing the kick that hi had collapsed in their previous encounter, he threw a pair of high knees and Go 2 Sleep early. But Moxley was fired.

A more competitive match ensued, a match that at one point resembled a disqualification case. Mox & Punk quarreled among the crowd, and the challenger was opened.

Mox went to work on Punk’s surgically repaired foot, but the man in his hometown was defiant as well as knocked over.

The selling audience split when Punk made a comeback which resulted in an exchange of requests, and when neither of them could pull off a win this way, we had an amazing exchange. Mox slipped from another G2S to hit the Death Rider, but Punk was sent off.

Both men looked so exhausted, that when Punk reached out to his final player, Mox collapsed onto his shoulders.

Another Go To Sleep movie is over, but the night isn’t over…

The screen turned black, and we heard a voicemail from Tony Kahn. He gave the recipient of the letter a last chance to return to the company, offering him a place in the ladder match and a lump sum of money to return. He didn’t even make him sign an extension!

Yes, as most of the internet prevailed, the devil who won the ladder match was none other than Maxwell Jacob Friedman. We reminded you of the old promo ROH Punk he reused during his feud with Punk… The greatest trick Satan ever did was to convince the world that he didn’t exist.

MJF and AEW didn’t totally make us forget, but they made this look so special.

We’ll find out when Max gets his title soon.
