23 PS Plus Extra, Premium PS5 and PS4 games announced for October 2022

Sony announced 23 new PS Plus Games coming to PS Plus Extra And the PS Plus Premium Layers. They accompany the trio PS Plus Basic Titles already available, which include Hot Wheels Unleashed (PS5, PS4), Injustice 2 (PS4) and too hot (PS4). Remember that you can find a complete list of All PS Plus games through the link.

The lineup is as follows:

PS Plus Extra

PS Plus Premium

That’s a total of 23 games across the two levels, which isn’t something to sniff at — although we doubt PS Plus Premium subscribers might feel short of a change, considering there’s no PS1, PS2 or PSP classics ever again. However, all games will be available for download – or in fact, Stream If you subscribe to the highest category – from Tuesday 18 October 2022.

It should be noted that Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: India, Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: Russia and Assassin’s Creed Syndicate will only be playable on PS4. The latter specifically has some performance issues with backwards compatibility with PS5, though Ubisoft indicated it was looking into a fix.

Despite this, overall, we’d say it’s a pretty solid month for PS Plus Extra, although as we noted above, it’s a bit disappointing for PS Plus Premium members. In terms of highlights, we think Dragon Quest XI S is an absolutely essential if you’re a fan of JRPGs: “Dragon Quest XI S has only solidified our opinion that this is one of the best Japanese RPGs of all time,” in review 9/10.

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, Now running at 60fps with backwards compatibility with PS5is another title we highly recommend: “With a gameplay loop that never stops giving, Ubisoft’s re-creation of ancient Greece is a remarkable feat and, in some ways, a real step forward for open-world game design,” we said at Our review is 8/10.

While not everyone liked it, we also got great praise for The Medium when it was finally released on PS5: “The Medium is without a doubt a great horror game,” we wrote in Our review is 8/10. “For fans of the genre, this game gets an easy recommendation.” And while there may be criticisms of PS Plus Premium, you can’t really go wrong with any of the Yakuza games.
